What's happening to your body after you die ? in , Wales, you have to opt out of your organs being used, instead of opting in.

That's just awful, there was a big thing in the UK a few years ago, people don't get paid for giving blood here, it's just voluntary, turns out our government was SELLING alot of it to third world countries.

@ajoite: I can see covering the cost of the blood cause it does take some $ to pay for getting it screened, paying people to take it, storage and transporting it, but to make profits off it is not right.

@mercedes810 actually millions of people sign up for donation. The problem is the circumstances of thier death. Anyone that receives an autopsy usualy can't donate except for things like skin and eyes.. these include auto fatalities (scene), homicides, suicides, and accidental /undetermined /suspicious deaths. Unfortunately most people under 40 fall into these categories.

Then there is the time factor. Many die and are not found in time to harvest viable organs.

Basically, most organ donations come from people who make it to the hospital, but die there. They can be quickly hooked up to ventilators to keep the organs viable

You've got to be careful with some of those, if they are full 🤓 on the day you die some can refuse you ( rude) and relatives can and have been left with the cost. A friend of mine has just signed his body over to medical students in S Wales, it's stated on the form they have to take the body whatever.

Sure, if you do not want my organs, you do not have to get them. :)
Stalking is an overstatement in my opinion; as I do not consider what I am doing as creepy, in my opinion. I am just kind of bored, passing time, and trying to earn coins.
However, should you wish me to stop responding to your posts, I will.

You can sign up for the donor register and get your organs removed for science. I live in the uk and it was avaliable for me to do

@Under1: In Wales, which is in the UK, you have to opt out, the rest of UK following suit soon, I have a form so I do know.
