I Need a Drink

Today would be one of those days.
I don't drink!!
I have been working at a new job, for about 3 months, I started to train on a different job about 6 weeks ago... I thought I was doing well. It turns out not so much. A lot of my work got kicked back from the city... ( I draft utilities)
So the guy whom originally show me the job, is retraining me.
I feel like crap about it.
I guess I'll do the best I can.
Sadly I don't have anyone to talk to..
My friends are busy...and some passed away.
Husband NOT a good sounding board!!

Best thing you can do is relax. Sometimes we get so stressed out when we are starting a new job we don't do our best work. Draw a VERY hot bath, while you are sitting in the tub, and add some scented oil or your favorite perfume. Have a glass of iced water right next to you, and a face cloth because if you do this right your forehead will be dripping. If you have a scented candle, light it in a safe place before crawling in the tub.

I used to live with an abusive husband WHILE I was working stressful jobs and this was my go to relaxer. I used to sit in the tub until it got cool, then I would drain out half the water and reheat it, hot as a I could stand. By the time I was done I was bright, bright red all over, woozy, and I would just have enough strength left to make it onto the bed on top of my towel. I would lie there and let the ceiling fan dry me, and you can't even imagine how stress free you feel afterward.

I hope it goes better after retraining. You can only do your best . 🙂

This is an old trite saying but:
"you'll find the word failure on the resume of every hero".
You do the best you can....and a day/week/month from now it'll all be in the rear view mirror....I always say at my job "we're not saving babies here!"...it's not life/death!
