Good to know for my sister, with her chronic daily migraine that's following in my 17 year migraines' footsteps... she has a note from her doctor, but if that doesn't help, I'll tell her about the muscle relaxer idea. Thank you.

@KayraJordyn my daughter who suffers from Migraines uses liquid Melatonin
Now normally that is a medicine to help you sleep
but now several people I have shared this with have said it was a life saver
and you can buy it OTC

@HappyFlower I have had back pain most of my life and DJD runs in my family
But in 1976 I was forced to take the swine flue vaccine ,
A doctor who thought I was milking saying my knees hurt ,but they never found anything wrong ,he joked (or I assumed he was joking ) said if I came in again complaining of knee pain my shot records would disappear and I would have to take all my shots again ,,well I guess he wasn't kidding
I get to my first duty station and they make me take all my shots again ,
When Army recruits started dropping dead from it ,they stopped the swine flue shots ,,but now most doctors agree that it triggered an autoimmune disease
it has eat the Cartilage and discs trough out my body
Now after 20 yrs of trying to say all I wanted was drugs ,
A doctor finally ordered a full body MRI since I have had problems with my back both shoulders ,and both knees ,,XRays always came back normal and that is as far as they would go .
Now they know ,,,I have 12 bad discs ,both knees bone to bone and spurs in both shoulders the right one has an impingement ,the tendon is flattened
My Spine has 2 places bone is flattening my spinal cord
I had surgery in 1990 ,they removed bone off nerves that had me crippled
I have done better since then ,but pain was starting to get bad again
Now I have new MRI's from December and its worse that the ones 3 yrs ago
So now they are finally taking me seriously ,but I got tired of the VA jerking me around ,I am in a civilian pain management ,they say I am in bad shape
they do not recommend anymore surgery to high a risk of further damage to my spinal cord ,,but I will no longer have to worry about getting called a drug seeker ,I have more than enough proof I need them ,,
Now the VA is working to get me service connected ,,they know they screwed up
A Nurse wrote in my charts 20 yrs ago I was only seeking drugs
My Va doctor admitted to me that is why I have been treated like that
she wrote NO NARCS NO NARCS all over my chart ,and when they went to computer
A notation was put in my records I was a drug seeker
I can't wait to see the back pay they owe this drug seeker

Oh my goodness, @rckt148. This narcotic problem has happened to me and my sister. It didn't matter that the pain and underlying causes are real, we were both treated as drug seekers. It was years apart and separately, but we've both fought our battles with doctors who assume the worst before considering the patient could be being honest. They're so used to drug seekers, they see that before the issues at times. I'm so sorry it took so long, but so glad doctors are now taking you seriously, and if only they had earlier. Who knows what God has planned, though? Maybe their ignorance was a critical piece of your life. Maybe your pain is meant to temper you. It seems cruel to some, but suffering does remind us of what Someone went through on that cross. We never know what is required for the Lord to carry out His plans, but we trust Him no matter what, just the same, don't we? He has proven Himself faithful. It's our turn to prove our faithfulness, and to go beyond that. To trust despite and in spite of suffering. To be true to the Lord, whatever it costs.

@KayraJordyn I am glad you mentioned Christ ,,I try not to come off as to preachy here ,I usually only testify when someone opens the door
My Daughter was crippled from 8 -12 ,her leg broken in 2 places that would not heal ,her disease so advanced she was in a body brace ,
CMS paying all medical bills and she was a Guinea pig for all kinds of tests until her Mom finally stopped them ,she could not run and play ,home schooled and on SSI ,,but she crawled to the alter and back again ,until one time she said God touched her ,,she was up and running and playing .
many so called prophets spoke over her saying she would never walk again but she would preach from a wheel chair .
She not only still walks at 37 ,she is a nurse taking care of some of the same people she was in the CMS program with ..her medial records can't list an explanation ,they wont say "Miracle" but it does say it looks like she grew a new spine ,impossible ,but thats whats cool about out Father ,thats when He shows up ,when its impossible .
They have called me a liar for over 20 yrs
I have been to PHS New Orleans that also said my knees were normal
But when they did chest XRays they always noted the changes they could see in the discs that showed up in the XRays ,they went ignored ,
So now finally they confirm my knees are bad and I do have a bad back
now their new one is with so much damage how to I still walk and the good one is my range of motion .
The Specialist says all you are taking is 5mg oxycodone 4 times a day ?
Yes Mam ,and you take no other supplements of any kind ? No Mam
How ? You have adapted very well ,this should be impossible ,and I have no problem giving you that many pills ,this is not unreasonable at all for your condition ,are you sure you don't want pain blocks in your shoulders ?
She rotates my arms with her hand on my shoulder ,you can actually hear it grinding ..How ,,I said Mam do you want me to tell you .
The Va has tried for so long to say noting is wrong with me ,
Now they know they were wrong ,,now they want to know how I can still walk .
Its so I can say My Father enables me when man failed me
He is the God of impossibilities .
I have a story about it all in my stories ,why God healed my Daughter and not me

it has been a lot worse ,I was once on morphine ,Methadone ,oxycontin
I am the one who asked to be on 5mg of oxycodone ,,I can't handle the strong narcotics 5 mg does the trick ,it keeps it bearable

Amazing, @rckt148. It's as if she grew a new spine. And why not? Our God is a God of miracles. Nothing is impossible.

"My Father enables me when man failed me" This is so true. I can't tell you how close to home and beautiful your testimony is for me. It's really important, and I hope you continue to bless others with your life stories. He changes lives every day. He will do so through you as long as you avail yourself to Him.

I too have been on and ditched a lot of those meds. CBD helps if it's legal where you are, if the pills ever stop taking that edge of pain off. I'm proud of you for counting your blessings and continuing on. Thank you for your encouragement and prayer, I pray the Father heals you, and if He choses not to, that He leads you through the pain and challenges that come with your conditions.
