I Have Trouble Sleeping

My partner and I sleep in the bed together every night. I have some things I try to suppress. Lately I’ve been really stressed and tired so I talk during my sleep. More specifically, full on random conversations. I have some things I’d like to keep to myself and I’m afraid I talk about it in my sleep and my partner can hear me. It’s stressing me out to even go to sleep because I don’t know what I’m gonna say.

You can't do anything about that and what's worse... The more you stress about it the more likely you are to talk. I'd suggest you find a way to make some piece with it and understand that what's going to get said is going to get said. Spend more time on trying to explain or obfuscate the out of context things that might get said. Once you have a few stock answers thought up stop thinking about it.

@AcidBurn perhaps. I write a lot as a coping mechanism but the only way I probably won’t talk about it is if I don’t think about it. So I have to make a conscious effort to divert my attention whenever the topic flashes through my mind.
