I Have A Strict Mom

My mom was always on the strict side. But I'm an adult now and there is literally an ocean between where I live and she lives. That makes it all the stranger that she very recently has become more assertive and strict in our phone conversations. I'm not sure how that will look or translate when I go to visit her over the Christmas holidays.

Weird and my thought is her possessiveness has grown. Are you an only child? If so, that might be her way of clinging onto you. Like she misses you and feels better when she is treating you like she did when you lived at home. I would advice you to speak to her about it instead of not saying anything.
