I Am a Game Designer

I was bored and drinking and felt like engaging in a bit of idle game design, so I converted the Greater Brass Scorpion to Age of Sigmar. For [i]reasons.[/i] (Mostly for being able to use it for some special scenario battles.) Maybe my inebriation while doing it is apparent on the warscroll, maybe not, but either way it was a fun diversion.

OK, so I have a couple of issues, mostly arising from my unfamiliarity with the Brass Scorpion. Firstly, why does the cannon get 10 shots? Personally, I'd use the damage table to modify the number of attacks it has, or what it hits on or something, because that thing is crazy powerful. Secondly, you don't need to put an asterisk next to damage value of the Bombard. Thirdly, the Runes of the Blood God rule might be better written as:
[quote]When the Brass Scorpion is targeted by a spell, friend or foe (excluding Blood Blessings), the caster suffers D6 Mortal Wounds.[/quote]
You also forgot to state how many Brass Scorpions make up a unit (I know it's one, but still) and what it's equipped with in the first paragraph.
Finally, I envy your ability to make warscrolls like that; I can never figure that sort of thing out.

@UndeadPrivateer I see what you mean now. I still think that the canon should get worse the more damage it takes, but it's more of a personal preference. Is that 700pts in 40k? Because if it's a titan killer it might need to be more expensive in AOS. Nagash is 900pts, after all, and this thing could put him down fairly easily (and seems like a really good hard counter to that particular model). The asterisk makes sense now, but it still looks weird to me just because I'm not used to seeing such a thing (then again I play Elves - which I will not now or ever spell the GW way - and they don't have anything with a rule like that that I'm aware of). And yes, I would indeed like a copy of that, but you'll have to explain how to use it since I'm no good at this sort of thing.

@SW-User Oh yeah, I was thinking more like 1200 or something like that. And meant to be in a scenario where its side would have a 'handicap' of some margin. Defense of a daemon fortress kind of thing. Like 2500-3000 points of Chaos vs 4000-5000 points of allied Order/Death or Death/Destruction.

I left enough room on the damage table to put a column for the Scorpion Cannon or Soulshatter Bombard if I feel like it's overpowered on the field. It [i]should[/i] be able to equal out its point cost though, and it's likely to get focused down. Not sure how long 20 wounds will really stand up even with the good saves. Basically the same armor/invulnerable profile as a Zombie Dragon and those still go down.

Yeah, for sure, I'll shoot that over to you in a PM. I use GIMP but you could also do it with Photoshop if you want.

@UndeadPrivateer That makes a lot of sense. Just remember though, that something reasonable in 40k can be quite overpowered in AoS. But the 20 wounds might make it fragile enough for it to be balanced out a little, a downside to contrast its strengths.

I don't have either of those :/
