I Like To Journal

One thing I cannot stand is confusion. Sadly, I am easily confused. Human behaviour, besides my own, makes little sense to me. It seems most people are not fully aware of why they do what they do, which confuses me because I almost always know what I do when I do it. There have been a few exceptions, but I always figured it out afterwards.

Most people seem to be in a strange haze of subconscious action and conscious inaction. They don’t like to take responsibility for their ignorance, their selfishness, their beliefs. I’ve fought with many people because of this, and I have found great respect and friendship in the exceptions.

I make a lot of observations. I can’t help but be curious as to the human conditions that seem to serve more as Achille’s heels. For one, I cannot for the life of me understand why we do things to our own detriments. I often think mankind is a bit of a masochist. We find beauty in our own torment. Perhaps it is a loop of erroneous, cognitive dissonance. Perhaps it is part of our design. Or perhaps, still, it benefits us in ways I have yet to understand.

There are many words to be said- many paths of possibilities to be found, but none yet have brought forth any fruitful possibilities in this regard. Thus, I shall continue to be doggedly perplexed by the enigma that is mankind.
