They’re publishing a bible with the US constitution printed in it

Thoughts?
Personally I don’t like it at all.

Interesting, since the Constitution never mentions God (except at the end, when the date of the signing is given as "The year of our Lord....") The oaths of office do not say "so help me God." In fact, the oaths give the option of avoiding the religious word "swear" and replacing it by the secular word "affirm."

I am a believer in God. But I object to the US Constitution being treated as if it almost had the stature of Scripture. I also object to the implication that one particular nation at one particular stage in the history of this planet is "the" one that goes with the Bible.
@DrWatson Yes.
I don’t like it. That makes me very uncomfortable.

I am opposed to it. Keep them separate.
I don't like it either.
Is that not violating or disregarding separation of church and state?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs Probably not, as this is not a state action. There is nothing unconstitutional about it. But, I do not like it.
@DrWatson who is re-writing it then? If no versions of the Bible endorsed government in any way, especially here whoever is proposing this should re consider.

While not a violation of "“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” I find it insulting to the spirit of said separation of Church and state ethos.
