What is the reason that we tend to be scared of violent people even though we can call cops and get such people arrested?

The cops tend to be more violent.

Because you can get ur ass beat in less than a minute, and cops take at least 10 to get there .

People call the cops [i]AFTER[/i] something has happened.
So, the violent person might/will beat you up. Cops can not stop that.
All the cop does is arrest the person who [i]BEAT YOU UP[/i]
