[@1157352,EmileeA] that is what my dad said - laziness or not trying

Definitely not. Exhort them to try harder in the future.

My parents went from calling me stupid for my bad grades to not even caring anymore. None of that was helpful haha
DadsGoodGirl · 22-25, F
[@849619,MeepMeep] better to have clear consequences
MeepMeep · 26-30, F
[@1080988,DadsGoodGirl] I didn't need consequences. I was dyslexic af.
DadsGoodGirl · 22-25, F
[@849619,MeepMeep] then understanding!
smiler2012 · 56-60, M
keepyoureyespeeled certainly if i suspected it was laziness and not trying but if they struggled in a subject i would not be on there back then

Nope. Instead, we'll try to figure out what's keeping them from it, be it their interest, their understanding, or simply just not eating/sleeping well enough. If they ever exist, that is. 😂

Yes. I would. I knew the consequences.
