It seems like any time to give a harsh lesson to a child your considered abusive....

I got yelled at for making "that baby" my 2.5 year old clean up the table she colored.
People flipped on my mom for firing me for being entitled at 16 too. I thought I was above the other employees and untouchable....(she hired me back the next year) she nipped that in the rear quick. And I learned no one owes you a thing.

Someone scoffed at me at me for licking the sides of my daughters ice cream cone before I handed it to her. Good parents let other parents do their thing and the bad ones think they’re revolutionary. You sound like a good mom. Fuck em.

@LAlexV I do the same. You paid for it good lord

@Rosiechick13 @LAlexV @SW-User I can see if they're over a certain age and they are grossed out by anyone else licking their ice cream, then that's not nice, or if you are sick. Otherwise, I don't object.

@33person If she ever objects, she can have a new cone. Her opinion matters. Others nah.

That’s just teaching them responsibilities. I threw a crisp packet on the floor at that age and I wasn’t allowed to have anymore crisps until I picked it up so I picked it up and put it in the bin. It taught me not to litter and clean up my own mess.

That’s stupid. Kids need to learn to clean up after themselves or they will be spoiled and expect other’s to pick up after them later in life instead of taking responsibility. Yes, kids don’t know better sometimes, but that’s why it’s our job to teach them better. You are doing the right things.

Parents today would shit their pants if they knew how my mom treated me as a kid 😂😂😂
Rosiechick13 · 26-30, F
@DearAmbellina2113 lol same firing me was probably the nicer of the options cause she wouldn't mind whipping me in front of all the staff 😂

Oh yes, you are right. It seems for many Sanctimoms, they are not just judging a parent that may use a rare, reasonable spanking; now they are judging extra chores, time-outs and sending a child to their room.

It's good to learn to be responsible. If she legitimately struggles with it, though, I would help her with it.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
Of course she should clean it up, but did you tell her to clean it in an appropriate manner?
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Rosiechick13 Well it's not unheard of that people will start yelling at people for no reason, but most often there must have been something you did wrong for her/him to yell at you. no??
Rosiechick13 · 26-30, F
@MartinTheFirst no she just thinks kids arent meant to be disciplined ever
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Rosiechick13 interesting, well that's not correct.
