Democrat or republican, which one is better

It's a spectrum. Some Republicans and I agree on some things. Most Democrats and I agree on many more things.

I think the extreme left are less harmful than the extreme right but that's a generalization. Both sides tend to "other" people with differing opinions and make us think in terms of tribal belonging and that's not productive to governing a society.
