I agree - but people need to cope the way they cope and some do it by insisting there is a plot, because things cannot possibly happen by accident and there has to be an enemy. Most of us don't think that way.
The ones that do tend to be noisy, to seek recruits.
I will be muting the seriously negative ones because that is damaging, and I don't need to hear it. There will be time later for blame-fixing.
Blame-fixers didn't just pop out of the woodwork - they've been there all along - they decide what they think and then shape facts to fit the theory and think they know. The vast majority of people where I live are being responsible, caring, and looking out for others, starting with family, and maybe buying too much toilet paper because it somehow seems vital at the moment.
We've got a problem, this ol' world, and we need to work on that. Even if somebody caused it - that somebody is unidentifiable and unreachable - and we need to concentrate on first aid. The rest is nonsense until the smoke clears.
It's not going to be fun and it's not going to be easy. Neither are earthquakes or tsunamis or volcanic eruptions. But after a hurricane, nearly everybody repairs and rebuilds and gets on with it. So will we. If we decide to crouch in the wreckage and wail, well, that's our choice.
Life often tests us, and this is a big test. Hope everybody does well on the exam. Not the flu test - the one about who we are.

@Mamapolo2016 I couldn't agree more! Being kind, pulling together and working to remain positive - they are all conscious choices. As you say...the real test, the one that means something, is the one about who we are

@Wol62 My response wasn't hateful. There was no name calling, no personal attack. I simply said that concept was BS. And it is. Period. People need to stop blaming everyone else for their bad behavior and take responsibility. Too bad you were only looking to create more trouble by calling my response something it wasn't.

I only wish we could’ve pulled together to save our healthcare, when more people actually had coverage. Now, when people need it most, it either costs a fortune or is unavailable. And it was all about politics. People are seeing loved ones die now. And they’re both terrified and angry.

@Tomorrow I’m in the U.S. and the ACA worked in my state for people with pre-existing ailments. I’m diabetic; not insulin-dependent (yet) but I’ve watched the supplies I use double and triple in cost each year. My diabetic friends in the U.K. are not having to ration their insulin, but several people here have found they needed to this year. One died in January from doing so. NHS would be a blessing over no coverage.

@bijouxbroussard Thanks.

Some people live for the drama they can create they don't want to be content or god forbid happy. Some are just obssesed as you know from another post lol.

Totally agree. I don't understand why this has become so different according to political beliefs.

@Tomorrow I don't know how some are not picking up on the enormity of this issue. It's a world wide phenomenon. People come up with figures to minimise the issue. Who knows what that will really achieve because we are only just into it. Any figures used today will be out of date tomorrow.
I'm with you. This is a thing let's recognize its significance & all agree to work together rather than create divisions but arguing about how serious it is.

I wondered myself why people are trying to make a political issue out of COVID.

@Crazychick It is the silliest thing. Makes no sense.
