It was real. I'm old enough to remember the coverage. It was worldwide.

It was real. I remember it well. The time delay on the radio communications and the breathless concern when the orbiter went behind the moon cutting off communication.

The first "successful?" landing. That was real. So was the Russian one that nobody knows about...

The first moon landing was real and no one knows about it because when it landed and sunk completely into the cheese of the moon, NASA knew they were royally screwed and threw together the sound stage landing we all know today as the first moon landing butt unofficially it was actually the second lunar landing.

It was the first one, period.
