I don't get how a man becomes a transsexual, dates women and claims he's a lesbians. I don't understand it.

I once heard a story on NPR about a man who became a woman but he likes women so he considers himself a lesbian. The NPR host asked him, "when did you know you were a lesbian?" How crazy are these people? These people are sick.

I heard another story on npr where a 2 year old wanted to dress up like Dorothy for Halloween so the parents allowed him to and claimed he was a girl. They also wanted to change his sex. WTF? If a 2 year old wants to wear a dress, you tell him no. You shouldn't encourage it. He doesn't know what he's doing. Sick people!

That's hilarious. Did he like grow up a lesbian trapped in a man's body? And the emcee played right along like it's everyday stuff. Good grief.

These are the ways evolution questions theories and ideologies... what is being questioned is the gender morphology itself... and whether humanity has got the masculinity & femininity right and its application to male and female..

In my analysis I discovered that we have got it entirely wrong.. so all exceptions are actually a subtle revolt against a rule.

Dude I've got way too much shit going on in my life right now to be concerned.

-I'm working on mastering a trade
-im working on mastering my body
-im working on mastering my mind
-im working on mastering my emotions
-im working on setting myself up to become an electrical engineer almost immediately after I get my license to practice electrical work
- I'm working on mastering rock climbing
-im working on mastering SCA medieval sword and shield combat
-im considering taking up cycling
-im figuring out how I'm going to rustle up 2000 extra dollars for a root canal and weighing that option against just having the damn thing pulled out for 1/10th the cost seeing as though all my other teeth are in perfect condition. Maybe I'll just have the time bomb yanked and get the rest sealed and take extra good care of them then get a dental implant later in life.
-im trying to express myself artistically in my free time without compromising my academic duties

Said all that to say that my life is too full to worry about what Mr./Ms. Garrison is up to. What the fuck ever.

[@807598,Eternity] Do you think it wise for strongly heterosexual people with autogynephilic/ autoandrophilic proclivities to undertake treatment for sexual dysphoria?

Because same sex attraction is not about gender presentation. If that were the case then same sex attracted peopls with a sex change wouldn't be complicating their life by adding another share of non normative behaviour to their sex life.

Also I've been told that same sex attracted people are more interested in genetic matched same sex people than modified sex people. Whether this is common might be difficult to verify but it does make a little bit of sense to me.

I think this might be the discussion the questioner is attempting to articulate. Probably.

That's kind of the point. You don't understand it. You don't go through it, you don't know how it feels. I'm not going to get into the 'gender and sex are different things" bit, because it's been used so much that it's as much of a soundbite as "mutilating yourself doesn't make you a woman," or "it's a mental disease". But, I will say there are plenty of us who wish to transition into a woman, even though we're attracted to women. I don't care if you call us lesbians or 'dude in a dress who likes girls', my point is gender does not equal sexuality.

Onto the second point of your post...even I, one of them there mentally ill tranny chicks with a dick, agree that 2 years old is way to young to be making that decision. But, Halloween, and especially at that age, if he wants to be Dorothy Gale, or a little girl wants to be Captain America, let them. No big deal. It's the one night a year you can be anyone or anything you want.

[@377644,Noahkahol] Whatchoo talking bout willis? Did I do that? Ayyyyyyyy. I said good day! I can use catchphrases too.

yes, 98% of the world is your normal. So why does my 2% cause such a shit show with you 'normal people'? I am literally causing no harm, to anyone. And if I am causing any harm, it's only to myself. And the harm I'm causing myself is most likely to come from one of the 98%.

And why do you assume I'm out to trick any potential lover? Were I to be with someone, they would know the facts about me before we even held hands, let alone kissed. Also, why do you assume it would be with a man?

Can you think of anymore soundbites that I've had thrown in my face over and over again? Open up the drawer, we'll have a bible reading? Can you think of any I haven't heard?

*Guitar smash*

I don't have a problem with transsexuals, they are the way they are. I don't have to agree with their thoughts. Being a trans person is a choice just like every other choice we make about our identity. Some guys want to present themselves as aggressively masculine, some want to be perceived as softer. Some want to be perceived as women. Some women want to be perceived as men. Where the problem for me comes in is when politics and lobbyists get involved and they start deciding which bathroom to use. If we count the trans community, we should have 3 different types of rest rooms, men's, women's and gender fluid. The rhetoric is spewing that trans men want to use the ladies room. The very few trans people I know, don't really care as long as they have a place to take a whiz. As usual, the politics of the issue is more concerned with one side trying to force the issue while the other side tries to force a panic over the 1st side forcing the issue. There are only two genders, male and female, if you have a penis you are male. If you have a vagina, you are female. If you are a male that wants to be a female, that is okay, but it doesn't give you the right to follow my daughter into a restroom. The norms of a society are arranged so that the majority of that society can live in a somewhat peaceful existence. When you try to run roughshod over those norms, you are throwing the issue in the face of most of the group. I don't necessarily think that all of society's norms are perfect, but they are what they are. I am pretty conservative on most issues but there are caveats to all issues. There is a right and a wrong to every one of the issues. There have been trans people since the beginning of human kind, why is it an issue now? Why are trans sex workers and trans people in general being killed in some cities? I think it is the scare tactics of the politicians and the rhetoric they spew without thinking about anything but maintaining their position.
Roadsterrider · 51-55, M
[@377644,Noahkahol] I am not emotional about the issue. I am simply stating how I feel about the issue. But like most problems, there isn't a clear cut and dried answer that works for everyone.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
[@830583,Roadsterrider] I would point out here that telling how you feel about an issue is the exact definition of being emotional.

Yet somehow every single real issue today skips the point that answers are needed and a discussion without emotion is met instantly with emotion, accusations about the speaker of facts being driven by emotions, or angry names and labels being thrown about that only provoked emotions.

There is a problem. The suicide rate among those both before and after transition is absurdly high.

There is a single solution but those that profit from the river of death that this issue has caused aren't showing any sign of true concern if there's any solution at all. In fact the only things they offer are condemnation of those that actually care and censorship of every single entry point to a solution.

I should know better than think anyone here was any different.

Pardon me.
Roadsterrider · 51-55, M
[@377644,Noahkahol] I would disagree, being emotional would include all the drivel that opponents use to try to dissuade any meaningful discourse about the real issue. The only way that it impacts me as a person is in laws that are meant to be inclusive of transgender people that I would be required to comply with no matter what I thought. Having an opinion doesn't make it emotional, stepping out into the land of "what if's and the sky is falling" makes it emotional. It has been my observation that there seems to be a lot more bigotry directed towards the trans or non hetero crowd since the politicians started stirring the pot. You think my opinion is invalid and I am okay with that. That is why we all get one.
