standards for marriage

I really want to marry someone who is a lot younger then me. should age be a requirement? that is one of the few things i care about,along with kindness and openness. most people think age does not matter but i have this weird feeling i get uncomfortable or unsafe about older guys.

Yes, All ages can be abusive, but in general the younger guys tend to be immature and quite agressive, with many 'wanting to do the "S" word' as their hormones (testosterone?) tend to 'run wild' and they'll pressure the girl for that, all for their own selfish needs, more than most older guys would(unless the older guy is one of those wacky perv types). So be careful with seeking younger in thinking the guy might be less aggressive or safer, chances are likely he might not be - sorry to say :( best wishes though always!

@Girlyfriendcollecting Uhm...abusive guys come in ALL ages. Just because he is younger than you doesn't mean he won't abuse you physically, verbally, or emotionally. And just because a guy is older doesn't mean he stands a better chance of being abusive. The bottom line is that not all guys are disrespectful or abusive to women.

I don't really agree with your rational but I think whatever makes you Feel comfortable is valid no matter. So if that is what does it then I think you should follow your feelings about whom you date etc.
