Wtf does arbitrary even mean?

I used it in one of my answers in a final, but idk what it means, it just seemed to go with the flow of what I was writing 馃う馃

"arbitrary" can mean
- not constrained ("an arbitrary constant" in a mathematical sense)
- without a reason ("he arbitrarily gave me an F")

you should delve into the meanings and backgrounds of words on your own, because it will help you in all of your commumication skills by giving you greater confidence in a wider array of words which you wrangle into your working vocabulary...
Tracos51-55, M
Negotiation with the support of an independent facilitator who has the last word
MethDozerM
@Tracos I don't think she means arbitrary hearings.

Ah...
And..........you don't have Google to look that up for yourself??????
Azrael
@anythingoes477 nah I just wanted to tell the wild story of how I risked it with the word.
I'll eventually look it up if no one tells me lol
@Azrael The lucky thing is........this is SW. About 90% here can't even read...so they won't know if you used it correctly or not. lol
HannahSkyF
@Azrael oh damn, hopefully it didn't throw it all off
Azrael
@HannahSky it won't, they don't even read half the stuff we write 馃う
HannahSkyF
@Azrael oh geez lol figures
bookerdanaM

SW-User

Azrael
@SW-User it was my 12th grade final 馃う

@Azrael Something that doesn't matter 馃き
MethDozerM
It means without any important function of purpose but required for trivial reasons.

Based on a whim basically
Azrael
@MethDozer thank you lol
MethDozerM
@Azrael yep, like if I rule out that you cannot wear a dress to school.and you ask me why not and I reply, because I think it represents blah,blah, blah.... That would be an arbitrary reason.
