bragging and pride

is pride a good thing?is there any use in it? is there any way bragging is good or is that inherently bad? the problem is I love to brag, but not online I like the reactions I can get in people from bragging and I hate That I love bragging. obviously too much of anything is a bad thing bragging pride. I also get jealous easily and thats probably why I like bragging. I stop myself from bragging often and honestly i dont have too much to brag about to i pick one thing to brag about over and over. what is your way of dealing with wanting to brag?

I don't brag, I'm happy with what I have and happy for anyone who has more than me....

I don't think bragging is a bad thing as long as you don't act entitled about it. Pride isn't also a bad thing either. If you achieved an ambitious goal for example then you should be proud of yourself.

Pride is a good thing. If nobody took pride in their work...
@PrivatePeeks it looks like you didnt finish the sentence what would happen if no one took pride in their work?

I find pride repulsive because most of the time it causes people to cause uneccessary conflict

Bragging is fine until you have it.
@Sepia until you have what?

@Girlyfriendcollecting Until you still something to brag. Never brag if you are empty.
@Sepia yea

As in many things there is a balance.

Pride can lead to good self esteem and positive mental health when it focused towards accomplishments and things you generally feel are good about yourself.

Pride is negative when it becomes a way for someone to easily insult or anger you, or to the point where you must manipulate facts and perceptions to create an illusion that sustains your pride.

Myself, I typically brag to try to gain acceptance or positive attention. I stop myself if I'm not interested in those around me or if people start giving me too much credit. Though I am often accused more of humility than pride by others in general.

It's not bragging if it's true and pride in your self and your abilities is a good thing.

No... not the egotistical kind. If you're proud over your children though then i wouldnt see any issue with that
