Do ppl really still believe in coincidence? Lol

Peppa · 31-35, F
OK hear this... November 2017 I felt like something bad was gonna happen, I called up all my family and basically told them I was fed up of their half hearted efforts, never really bothering and me chasing them down like they're better than me. I vowed no more! I called my dad after 7 years of not talking he mentioned not feeling well and having something wrong with his hands. I urged him to go to the drs.

I had an urge to give my mum a book I searched high and low for it, I gave my mum a first aid book.
2 days later, my father drove to my mums house and suffered a massive stroke.

The day they were going to turn off the machines I went to visit him after refusing to see him in that state. I snuck in and was there with a nurse.
I spoke to my dad, I held his hand and it flinched. Suddenly the machines started beeping. As soon as I let go the machines stopped.

I told my dad I was sorry for the pain we caused each other. And that if he doesn't wake up they will end his life. I didn't return for 11 months. Apparently as my dad got better he was constantly looking out for someone, everytime my dad saw my mum he looked beyond her waiting.
When he started communicating he would keep writing my name. Is it a coincidence maybe I don't know, but I know my dad is here because his last wish was to see me again!

@Peppa is what a coincidence?
Peppa · 31-35, F
@JovialPlutonian there were a few things in there that could be seen as coincidence or a sign from the higher being... it's all about belief and perspective
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Peppa yes I completely agree
Abstraction · 61-69, M
What's your point?
Coincidence according to its common definition is a real thing, it describes a human response to their experience of concurrence.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Abstraction omg there is no coincidence that two things seemingly separate come together, everything happens for a reason, it's not a coincidence lol

Coincidence; the Great Depression had nothing to do with the drought but the drought might had added to some folks' experience of the Great Depression.

Choice; just because I choose to walk outside of my home doesn't mean there is anything 'spiritual' or otherwise if I encounter an asshole person.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian So, yes, people do believe/know of coincidence
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian Adaptation is generally a decent trait. But not all can do it regardless of opportunities and chaos
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 not true but that may not be what the experience is about at all
KidAzazel · 26-30
Yes, because it happens. The Universe is a random and chaotic place. Sometimes there really is simply no correlation between seemingly linked events
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@KidAzazel you are most definitely wrong about everything you just said, there is nothing random in the universe, there is no such thing as chance, it is merely a case of choice.
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
Do people still turn a mere word into a belief system ? Lol
MasterofNone · 26-30, M
@JovialPlutonian and many others won't and yet others would misinterpret
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@MasterofNone I have no attachment to the outcome, I would merely entertain myself another way
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@MasterofNone what's your point, it is all relative to experience
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
Can't begin to imagine how deluded one must be to accept coincidence as truth, life must be so confusing living that way.
KidAzazel · 26-30
@JovialPlutonian Oh, youre still talking, huh? Well, lets just agree to disagree then
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@KidAzazel give me one example of coincidence
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
its not a coincidence if someone punches you in the face when you're being a dick lol
Of course.. It does exist after all
