Coincidence; the Great Depression had nothing to do with the drought but the drought might had added to some folks' experience of the Great Depression.

Choice; just because I choose to walk outside of my home doesn't mean there is anything 'spiritual' or otherwise if I encounter an asshole person.

@Phire1 its a choice of perspective
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian And you think a drought is a person's choice?
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 no but how much they chose to let it disempower them is
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 you think most didn't think they had another choice, there's always another option
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian Ahhh, so you're one of those blame the poor people types. Got it
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 no I'm one of them take responsibility for myself types
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 and others if need be.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian It must really break your "soul" to admit the drought was a coincidence
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 natural disaster yeh all of those things are all completely coincidental lol
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
You can always adapt, relocate unless you chose to limit yourself
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian So, yes, people do believe/know of coincidence
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@JovialPlutonian Adaptation is generally a decent trait. But not all can do it regardless of opportunities and chaos
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Phire1 not true but that may not be what the experience is about at all
