What do you do when someone borrows your money and doenst pay you back?

1. kiss money and friend goodbye and consider it a cheap lesson
2. take them to court

Reminded of a scene from Out of Africa...Barkley recalls a conversation with Denis about a book Denis lent to a friend that was never returned. (Books being dear and rare).

Barkley said: You wouldn’t lose a friend over a book!

Denis replies: Of course not. But he did.

Guido and Sal pay them a visit.
It’s not the money (although it is). When a friend asks to borrow money, lending it is a gesture of love. Usually when they borrow they say, I’ll pay you back $50/month or by month after next, all of it. Unless they had an accident and are in a full body cast and are NOT paying you back, either they were lying when they promised to pay or they’ve decided to spend your money on themselves, which was not the agreement. So you can decide if you want to have a friend like that or not. If you decide it’s worth it to you for whatever reasons then just let it go, consider it a gift, and commit to memory some great reasons why you can’t lend to them in future.

I ask nicely a couple of times...

Then I make life 'difficult' for them.
Kitty93 · 31-35, F
@Quizzical how do you make life difficult for them?
SW-User

SW-User

SW-User

Kitty93 · 31-35, F
@SW-User not much like 10 once but so often, when she needs money she always spam me and promise to pay me back😐
SW-User

Threaten them with physical violence.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@tallpowerhouseblonde I play with most things in my life. I don't really take anything seriously because to me, everything is just a big fucking joke. But there's a select few things I don't play with, and money is one of those things. If a person wants to try my patience with my money, I'll gouge their eyes out of the head and then throw them off a fucking bridge.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
@BlueMetalChick that is pretty brutal. You may need martial art lessons and long nails.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@tallpowerhouseblonde Long nails? Hell no, how am I supposed to make a fist? I'll cut my own palms.

I'd regard it as a gift because that's what it was essentially but remember that Shakespearean quote: "Neither a borrower nor a lender be" in future.
Nebula · 41-45, F
Aren't you supposed to lock them in the trunk of your car? I don't lend people money.
you've heard of loan shark ? yeah mafia haha
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
They experience an accident.
SW-User
I refuse to give them anymore
SW-User
If I give someone money, I forget about it.
Most of the time people forget about return things.
It's why I prefer not to get into such situations.
