She: No, I don't feel the same way about you. Sorry. But you're my best friend.
Me: Oh okay. I'm cool 😎

She told me I just gave up. I didn't show enough interest. I didn't make her feel special. "That's how girls develop feelings for a guy, dumbo" :|

@JaggedLittlePill: Yeah, It's like I'm trapped both ways. If I'd have insisted to have a relationship thing, it'd have been kind of a harassment. The girl is also my close friend for 3 years. I'd have lost that friendship too.

Actually, I think you were brave to say I love you to your best friend. Too often "Best Friends" never tell their real feelings in fear of losing their friendship.

It could have gone in your direction....It didn't, so try to move on and continue being friends. She might realize later that you are the one and she can feel comfortable coming back knowing your true feelings.

@Discombobulatedbunny: To be honest, it didn't affect me much and I don't know why. It should have, right? I love the girl and she was the first girl I ever told "I love you" to. Maybe I don't have extremes of emotions. And I told this to her immediately after she said no. I told her I didn't care much as long as it didn't make our friendship weird :|
