How is a guy supposed to find a person who genuinely is interested in him?

Real life doesn't seem to work. Dating sites definitely don't work. So what options are left?

My husband and I were introduced by a cousin of his who I knew in school. She knew we had certain things in common and felt sure we'd make a great couple. She was right.

@HairbrushDiva I don't have any friend or family connections where that could happen. I am in a few community groups but availability is the key problem. Can't do anything regular socially with the work pattern, and fitting in time with my daughter in between. i prioritise her over dating, even though it makes me feel like I'm missing out.

Keep trying??

For Sikhs marriage comes first but boy / girl can talk to each other, go outings are fine(NO sexual/ intimacy relationship before marriage)! Unfortunately, in the Western countries, Highly educated Sikh girls will only prefer High educated Sikh boys. Level of education comes first BEFORE level of spiritual level... (Which, these days are zilt anyway). Only the Sikh garb is worn for a show. It's useless to even attempt "Well, I may not have gone uni but could we get to know each other over, say, cuppa coffee??" Reply? "OMG! We're not allowed to date (insert in excuses plus lectures)" and so, this is the story of Sikhs living in Western countries.

Maybe start with what interests you, do that thing and find others that do it too.
I suppose most people meet either at work or in some social group. Getting involved in more social things helps. For example, volunteering with organizations that need volunteers. You not only meet people, but you meet people with a willingness to give and be compassionate, where you might find it easier to be accepted and welcomed.
