Should I be worried that my boyfriend is lying about being at work?
And yes, I know for sure. He lives with his grandma and I called her to ask a question and she said he was in his room playing video games all day.

Have a talk with him. Don't get accusatory or make him defensive. Just "Hey what's going on with work?" and give him lots of opportunity to open up. Let him tell you what's going on and have a chance to own up to why he lied.
