Why do some nice guys end up marrying some real bitches?

How does it happen? Is it opposites attract?

I never could figure that one out. Makes no sense at all, but I think deep down some men like being bossed around like they were with their mother. Maybe it makes them feel needed to have a mother figure in their life, but that's just not right. I guess some just like drama in their life. Seems like insecurities on their part. Perhaps that's a twisted version of love, to some.

I don't understand it either. Happens to women too- my sweet saint of a grandmother who never hated anyone or treated anyone badly, married my racist asshole grandfather. None of us know why.

1. Some mistake looks, etc. for worth marrying. Some women mistake looks, personality, income, 'falling in love' etc for someone worth marrying too.
2. Some lack the spine to stand up for themselves, so there's a power imbalance. Works the other way around too. A good marriage requires two people who respect themselves.
