Is single life actually better?

Having to look at her day in and day out - not doing what you want when you want - eating at a certain time. Not eating what you feel like it. Being questioned on your whereabouts. OOPS - I just described PRISON !

The common denominator in my life, single or in a couple, is me. How and who I am determines my quality of life.

I think it depends, not only on you, but on the "other half". I find that single life is better...MUCH better. I married 3 times and divorced 3 times, and I never married well.

From what I have seen, married people and single people often envy each other!

Hmmm...I have been asking myself that lately...

From speaking to people who have been married, it's far better to be single and never bring children into the world.

Probably six one way, half a dozen the other. Depends on your priorities.
