Yes and no. It depends on who you're interacting with. I've been rebuffed by [i]many[/i] people because of how I look. But then my first GF was also someone who would typically be considered way "out of my league."

What's ridiculous is dependent on your personal beliefs. I always say shoot your shot. Confidence is like a stain you can't wipe off. That alone will get you into plenty of doors.
