Does it make someone a bad person...

Does it make someone a bad person if they were off drugs and attacked someone without knowing and didn’t realize it until afterwards... The guy I’ve been seeing was off some strong ass Lsd and blacked out (I’ve not done it, so idk if it’s possible that he really blacked out) and choked his ex girlfriend to the point he almost strangled her until some guy got on top of him to hold him down. He was really off his shit that day. But I’ve been pushing myself away because I’m scared that could be me and that’s also what my friend told me, so that put even more anxiety in me. I thought with LSD you’re supposed to find yourself 😂

Stop doing drugs you can’t handle.

Dumbass suburban kids.
Dateless · 31-35, M
I don’t care.

@SatyrService
@Dateless the emotional response, suggests that on some level
you do.
why not talk about what happened to the person that made you feel so bad?

I really don’t care

That bitch could die.

Fuck’em@SatyrService

LSD can cause a wide range of reactions, due both to strength of dosage over time, and very importantly what the taker believes is going to happen

it is not always or even often the i don see reality "hallucination" that we see in tv drama,

it is ALSO, Like alcohol a Dis-inhibitor. allowing hidden ideas to surface, no longer inhibited by the conscious mind.
user can indeed be confused about reality. often re evaluating things that came before..

all that Said

We are always responsible for what we do when under the influence of drugs and alcohol

WE choose to take that drink, we must take responsibility

the problem here, is that many persons, do not understand how they will be affected .

like a kid that drinks a bunch of booze or
any person that thinks, I can handle it!

Im sorry for this in your life.

It was his choice to take drugs. He is responsible for the state he was in even if it wasn't intended, and therefore responsible for his actions.

I guess it's the same argument as if a driver takes a drink that affects them more than expected and they kill or injure a pedestrian. In that case they will probably lose their license and ability to do harm while under the influence. In your boyfriend's case, it's down to the justice system to either take him out of circulation, and also down to him to avoid getting into this situation. In your case, I'd exercise as much caution as you feel you need.
SociallyAwkwardGirl · 22-25, F
He’s clean now. So would it be dumb to stay with him or should I run while I can@GlassDog
GlassDog · 41-45, M
@SociallyAwkwardGirl If he can stay clean and also prove over time that he's stable (and you want to stay with him), I think you could give him a second chance, but make absolutely sure that your own safety comes first and don't put yourself in situations where you could be vulnerable. I can't stress that enough. Your own safety is the most important thing here. If you don't feel you can be safe around him, I don't think you can be around him at all.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
... I've never heard of someone attacking someone else on acid and I've done a few hits and have been around a lot more.
SociallyAwkwardGirl · 22-25, F
Me neither which is why I’m skeptical @CountScrofula
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@SociallyAwkwardGirl Yeah. Frankly, I'd back off on him. Drugs often allow you to act out impulses you otherwise keep under control and that's a major fucking red flag for me.

Especially on acid, which is a very unemotional high.

@Greenbare soo ALL drugs? coffee?booze? Nicotine? chocolate ( yeah it has a drug in it)

is it really your perspective that a "good" person becomes evil when they take a painkiller?

@Greenbare
I was hoping you would clarify
doing drugs makes you a "Bad Person"
as if ingesting some of these materials
miraculously turns you from good to evil.
a premise I reject.
is that your point?
i have trouble with the term bad people to begin with
bad for what?
evil in intent?

this was not a reducto ab absurdem response.
it was a sincere inquiry on what you call
drugs
which has a standardized meaning.
ANY substance that acts upon our physiology, in detrimental ways or medical uses
Fentanyl, is a deadly drug on the street
and a very Helpful one in the operating theater.

I particularly mentioned Nicotine, a HUGELY addictive and legal product that is very toxic, and has destroyed many lives.
I was, since you enjoy latin, pointing out the differences between
Malum In Legis, or Malum prohibitum bad due to the law saying so
and
Malum in Se, bad, naturally. evil in Nature.

in many states, cannabis, is Malum prohibitum, tho all testing shows we cannot even determine an LD 50 for it.
as compared to those that are Bad By Nature, tho made legal.

can legislation, remove evil?

nice to find someone willing to have real Discussion!
