Can long distance relationships work??

It seems like the odds are against it but I’d like to hear your experiences.. good, bad and ugly! 😍😥😱
Do you mean ones where the couple do at least get to meet occasionally? If so, and if getting together permanently or on a more frequent basis is a realistic prospect, then I’d say yes they can work.

@Helpinghands Thank you 😊

@summergirl4fun Personally,if I had any chance of moving to be with my partner,I'd have made the move, taking on a different job,if need be.
But life isn't always so black n white is it
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
Nothing is ever black or white really imo..he was willing to move but something just didn’t feel right to me. Hopefully I made the right decision @SW-User

I can’t do it, if there is no hope of ever meeting them, or seeing them in person every so often it’s just too painful for me.

@NewBeginnings7790 And what if their is hope of meeting them and seeing them ever so often? :)
Batman · 41-45, M
They only work if both of you want it and there has to be a plan to come together at some point.
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
Well we are broken up for now.. but for those who didn’t read the comments we were together for 4 years until I relocated a few months ago.. so it wasn’t a long distance relationship until then..
Pleasingyou81 · 46-50, M
@summergirl4fun Chin up. Smile as often as possible.
XReaganX · 26-30, F
Yeah. The only reason mine didn't work was because of a fuckface on here followed my love, stalked and harassed her. I'd totally lay that fucker out.
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
That’s so not cool 😠. Sorry to hear that @XReaganX

First off relationship have a very high % rate, heck last I heard, marriages are under 50%, and dating or other things have to be higher.

But yes, a very small few of them, do work out.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
No. Basically because there is no relationship !

Want it to work ? Shorten the distance !
ZeroFox · 36-40, M
In today's culture, I don't think relationships work.
@ZeroFox so it should all be just casual sex with no hope for happiness?
Semya · 22-25, M
If both are truly committed, then it can work in time.
FormerPadresfan · 26-30, M
Speaking from experience, i dont plan on being in one anytime soon. They lower your sex game by a lot due to the lack of physical contact and when it ends, it’s kind of hard to regrow your game. You kind of forget how to properly kiss actually in some cases, such as mine.
BrattyMel · 31-35, F
They definitely can
ihave had some that DID work out well. but all of those were real life,, not cyber, On line sexi time is just forplay for me.
Really good too! the distance makes each visit a special holiday
I have,, it can keep things HOT Longer..
you cant miss someone if they are close by
AND
it prolongs that hot sex first flush feeling,, you can make it last for years
Pleasingyou81 · 46-50, M
It’s hard but in the right circumstances possibly. Thinking it would be rare.
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
Every situation is different but it’s always going to make things a little harder@Pleasingyou81
Pleasingyou81 · 46-50, M
@summergirl4fun Completely agree. Something will always feel like it’s missing.
i have found that distance can keep things hot for a long time.
if you only get together now and then? it becomes a real Love Holiday.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Sure. I have been married to the same woman for 44 years, and the more distance there is between us the better we get on.
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
We are trying to make ours work for us...it is difficult but we both hope n pray things will fall into place for us
SW-User
I'd say absolutely not if you met online..but in your scenario yes. Since you met irl. But it's def stupid hard.
MrGoodbar · 51-55, M
the odds can be stacked against you but just enjoy everyday, things can change quickly.
Tukudo · 41-45, M
Both needs much money...its expensive if overseas!! It takes strong trust.
jennypenny · 70-79, F
No they don't work. A relationship is by nature intimate and close
XReaganX · 26-30, F
That's how my parents got together. They're still married
SW-User
It’s possible but certainly not easy
SW-User
If you consider 150 miles long distance then yeah
SW-User
Takes lots of work... but they can
LILREBELDOM69VAMP69 · 46-50, M
My girlfriend just broke up with me I live in Columbus Ohio and she is from Phoenix Arizona. We had things planned out but she got impatient.
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
Sorry to hear that @LILREBELDOM69VAMP69
LILREBELDOM69VAMP69 · 46-50, M
@summergirl4fun it's ok I'm use to it beautiful.
SW-User
It's good if you like being cheated on
summergirl4fun · 31-35, F
You’d have to find someone who would actually date you first.. You suck at trolling@SW-User
