Since when did "Relationship" become "Ownership"?

Definitely in Biblical days.
But more likely, everywhere in the world, whenever patriarchy and property laws evolved.

@hartfire Lol yea usually only the big events get broadcasted internationally... the downside to that is that a very small picture gets painted of what is really happening over here and people get the wrong idea about what SA is really all about.

Just the other day I saw a post of a guy from the UK who decided to visit Cape Town and took a walk alone through what people who think to be a dodgy area, but he did that on purpose to see if SA is truly what outsiders make it out to be...

He was told that he would be shot at the moment he steps foot out of the airplane at the airport...

He proved that theory wrong by what he did and posted on Facebook that he did not even experience any kind of danger.

Just shows what bad image we have internationally.
I do have a friend here, who was born in South Africa of Greek descent. She went back recently to introduce her new husband to her family. They had a great time there and no problems. I will ask her to fill me in on the details of the news and social conditions. Her parents will know.

Thank you. :)

@hartfire Excellent! See? Its really not that bad over here lol.

Since forever, people just had the sense to know how unethical it was until recent times. Now people think it's cute.
iMysteryM
@BlueMetalChick Lol cute?
BlueMetalChick26-30, F
@iMystery Yes, unfortunately. I often see posts on social media by girls saying "It's so cute when my boyfriend gets jealous" or something similar. Like they think it's adorable when someone acts possessive of them and doesn't want them to interact with other women or men.
iMysteryM
@BlueMetalChick Cute until that jealousy becomes murderous... then they won't look so cute no more...

@SW-User Since 50 Shades of Grey became "trendy" for whiny bitches with daddy issues and the entirety of the r/niceguys subreddit.

Around 2010 when those fucking millennials ruined what was perfect equality in marriage throughout all of human history.

Particularly the part where women were sold off like cattle for land deals since always. That's true traditional marriage and real love <3
LyricalOneF
Must have missed the memo about that happening. 馃
iMysteryM
@LyricalOne Lol you and me both.

Since religion and the oldest forms of rulings.
iMysteryM
@Miram Yeah... religion again 馃檮... What are your thoughts on what a relationship is? Is it an ownership of the partner?
Miram31-35, F
@iMystery

We never own people. We don't even own ourselves. We are left with struggling to accept the world as it is, or being already fulfilled by it no matter the flaws.
iMysteryM
@Miram Very well said.
