What makes you decide to connect with a person?

1. I check out the profile of this person:
a) Do I like the stories/replies/comments?
b) I am checking out the friends of this person: Normally someones friends are like a "business card" for someone
c) Which groups this person has joined?
2. Are we talking "the same language"? (H r u? = I don´t like this kind of language).
3. Through all this points I also want to make it sure that this person won´t be sexual interested in me.
When all theese points are positive I am contacting the person. Normally I find it already after 10 minutes out if this person is worth to know better for becoming maybe good friends or not.)

To say the truth: VERY SELDOM. As you can see in my friends list, I just have a very, very few friends. But they are good ones, and to one of them I am very, very closed (soulmate). But I am ok with that because I don´t belong to the people who like to "collect" friends.
In my "followers list" are the people which I could imagine as a friends, but I don´t have enough contact to them to add them as friends and I am not yet sure if I should add them as a friends or not.
