If you KNEW someone heart and soul 6 years ago would you still know them enough to jump back into a relationship?

I would have thought yes. I thought I knew everything to know about her ever but she "doesnt even know me anymore" and asking her to take me back is "unfair". I was pretty shocked. This was a woman i was ready to marry. Of course I literally became and then stopped being a recreational addict in the interim so I cannot blame her entirely. But, it was losing her that drove me to the drugs to begin with. It's a circle of dysfunction thing....
