Do you make assumptions on the first impressions of how people furnish true home and bedroom ?

I personally don't mind seeing a little clutter...I like a home that looks "lived in" but neat, to me that shows a sense of comfortableness and that the people there are down to earth and not afraid to be human. The furniture doesn't always have to match exactly as long as it's clean, not torn/broken/falling apart, and comfortable to use. I like a house that is clean, but I'm not talking pristine museum quality perfection either. As for the décor? I'd prefer it to reflect the tastes and personalities of those who live there even if it isn't quite "me" or my particular tastes. A house is a person's or family's own private refuge and sanctuary and that is part of what makes it a home. If I'm invited into that then who am I to judge or even dictate what is or isn't, should or shouldn't be. I don't have to like or agree with what I see there but I do have to respect it (and them) because it's not mine and I'm the "intruder" there (even as an invited guest). When someone invites you into their home, they are inviting you into an intimate part of their lives and that should be an honor. I know this was talking mostly about women here, but I just felt the need to put in my 2 cents worth, Thanks for the time.🤠 My wife feels the same way I do and we both think that girl was rude and out of line

Probably to an extent but I really don't care what others do with their home as long as iam able to sit down and drink out of their cups safely

Certain things do stand out. Is the place clean? Is the person a hoarder? Does the bed have a Spider-Man comforter Does the home look like it was decorated by Stevie Wonder?

Most women decorate in a different way from men. She wasnt necessarily insulting you.
