Would you rather stay friends to keep the friendship or you'll be willing to take the risk to find out if you will be good together in a relationship?

I took that risk and she is my current wife. Things were great before her diagnosis. We both feel we should have taken this step years ago to spend more time together.
A good question.
I am of 2 minds with this one.
If there is a sexual connection that develops and it happens and if for some reason there is a falling out then they where not friends in the first place.

We all want lovers who are friends as well, don't we?
How about friends as lovers as a choice?

I've used the excuse of "i don't want to ruin our friendship" as a way to turn down their advances towards me lol.
