It was a viable tactic repeatedly employed by the GOP during Obama's tenure. Each time Democrats made consessions in order to avoid it. Decrying that tactic now seems to make little sense. Refusing to negotiate is simply undemocratic. Doing it over DACA which has had bi-partisan support since Busch 1 is actually kinda retarded.
It will be interesting to see what a real shut down looks like. I hope the effort doesn't cave. A few days or a few weeks without a truly operating fed might even be fun.....
