I Am Interested In Politics

I am a federal employee. They shut it down a few years ago. I stayed home for 2 weeks. I did not go anywhere, since I did not know when it was going to end. I got a little nutty. I would wander around. I remember going to nearly empty restaurants and chatting with random staff because I was lonely, about having nothing to do due to the shutdown. My wake-sleep schedule got all messed up. I forgot what day it was. My pay stopped, even for work I had already done (which seemed illegal to me). They had no clue when we would get paid for work already done, when we would come back, and if we would get paid for the time we were furloughed.

Then they opened back up and paid us for work already done, and soon after, for the two weeks we were furloughed. I resented the latter a bit, since I wanted to work for my pay! I did not want a handout! The pricks! I felt so abused. (Of course I took the money. LOL) And the taxpayers got screwed, paying out all that money for work not performed.

I hope it doesn't happen again. Winter is a bad time to have nothing to do. I am already on here too much, yet if I am furloughed I will be on here WAY too much. I will go nuts!

This time it is a little different.

It is forcing the DEMs to vote enmass against DACA ... and lets the GOP vote for it.

A very dramatic and ironic situation.

The shutdown is minor ... people have gotten over this kind of stuff.

The Reps did shut down the gov't during the Clintons era. It amounted to nothing except hurting the Reps. We all know Trumpski is doomed.
