[big]Democrats Claim to want to Help the Poor...Tax the Rich.[/big]
Drive a wedge between the rich and the middle class.

I saw this article and had to share.

For the first time in years, pay for lowest-income Americans is rising faster than for other groups.

Weekly pay for earners at the lowest 10th percentile of the wage scale rose at a faster rate last quarter, from a year earlier, than any other group measured by the Labor Department—including those at the top of the income scales who earn five times as much.

The shift for low-income workers—including restaurant workers and retail cashiers—who make about $10.75 an hour, is a sign that a tightening labor market is delivering better pay to workers who largely haven’t shared in gains since the recession ended eight years ago, according to economists and government data. Last quarter marked the first time since late 2010 that this earning group’s gains outpaced all others.

BTW for those of you who will say that obama's policies are just taking effect, keep this in mind. When Ronald Reagan took office after Jimmy carter, Mortgage rates up to 20%, Unemployment and inflation at record levels...it took Reagan only two years to turn things around. obama's policies stifled growth on small business

The stock market is showing faith in our President, and despite all the naysayers, we will "Repeal and Replace" obamacare and simplify the tax code.

For those of you that would like to read the entire article here is the link

My apologies for not doing it the first time.

Let's examine the facts that you left out (or neglected to read) to perpetuate your love-affair with a moron, failed businessman, and crybaby...

1. From that same Morningstar article that you failed to credit as your source, "The recent improvement for low earners coincides with a downward trend in the unemployment rate, which stood at 4.4% last month, versus 4.9% a year earlier."

[c=#BF0000] -->[/c] During the campaign, Trump consistently cast doubt on the legitimacy and accuracy of the unemployment rate numbers (certainly you remember that). Why have those same numbers suddenly become legitimate and accurate?

[c=#BF0000]-->[/c] No reputable and educated analyst, economist, commentator, or citizen would truthfully credit the current administration for effects on employment. That being said, there is a relative high confidence that consumers are expressing in the current state of the economy which is good for business (and in turn in wage growth). Trumps bloated reality TV gimmicks and shenanigans could be credited in making people "feel" good about things the same way a good motivational speaker can give people an illusion of hope which does have value.

2. From this same article, "Those wage gains also at least partially reflect rising minimum wages in many states and cities. At the start of the year, the minimum wage increased in 19 states, and Maryland and Oregon raised their pay floors this month."

[c=#BF0000]-->[/c] Trump and his cult of Republicans have generally not been proponents of the minimum wage gain bandwagon so giving him (and his cult followers) credit for those gains seems disingenuous and desperate.

FINAL ASSESSMENT: Trump has proven time and time AND TIME A N D T I M E again (just counting since the time he has been in office) that he really is only interested in his own image, his own interests (from a business and social media perspective), and relieving himself of any responsibility or accountability when it comes to the burdens of being president. He seems to enjoy the glamour aspects of the job itself ONLY.

The general incompetence and inability of the current administration to rally the support for a repeal-and-replace in a way that represents the party in power having majority control of 3 branches of federal government illustrates the problems to come as we must all grapple with a crybaby who is, at best, pretending to be president of these United States.

ADVICE: If you are going to rely on a source to form your opinion, don't cherry-pick only the parts that agree with your point of view. Doing so only delegitimizes your objectivity.

@Northwest

You ask me to point to where you are name calling....geez, I didn't have to go far for that one.

You said: "and stop being a useful idiot."

Guess you don't know the difference, do you!

The big difference between liberals and conservatives is liberals have to resort to name-calling because they can't deal with the facts and Heaven forsake if there ever wrong because no matter what facts you show a liberal they will always believe the lie that they've been fed by the politicians in charge of them.

@lov2smile No, it looks like you don't know the difference. Her's a hint, google "useful idiot" with quotes and all.

Obama's policies were designed to keep the poor in poverty and shrink the middle class to increase the DNC's voting base. It really is that simple.
dale74 · M
@Sicarium hence the reason for the increase in the minimum wage the more you raise the minimum wage the larger the group in the poverty level will be if you increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour all of a sudden everybody making $15 an hour or less is now in poverty because of inflation
MartinII · 70-79, M
It's the same in the UK. Sadly, the Conservatives were too scared of the"liberal" media to publicise the fact in the election. Now they are proposing to increase the statutory minimum wage, which is likely to have the opposite effect and to increase unemployment.
dale74 · M
I love urinalysis I lost my small business because of Obamacare I employed 12 people all of which were making 40% above minimum wage to start and once they've been with me for more than 2 years they were making about twice minimum wage

@Montana

Minimum wage is intended as a starting point. Work hard, gain experience, (On the job training)...Then, offer your talents to a different company that is willing to pay for your "business experience" and move on up the proverbial ladder of success.

Minimum wage is not intended to support a family.
