I Like to Write From Time to Time

The fight for survival can seem futile because eventually we all go, so why keep fighting. The end result is pretty inevitable atleast in the current moment and with our technology.

One reason why we keep fighting is that death can be scary or highly unpleasant. Nobody really wants to go through the death process.

For fear of the unknown we prolong death as much as possible. We prolong death as long as our lives are bearable. Once life becomes unbearable, death seems like a better option. Suddenly the unpleasantness of dying doesn't seem too bad.

At it's most basic form, life is the prevention/avoidance of death. The fight for survival is really all we know.

@hlpflwthat Life can be like an addiction. No matter how repetitive we have to get our fix of another day. This is assuming ofcourse that our day to day lives are bearable and fulfilling.

To a healthy/balanced brain repetition is just ok. To a depressed one it is unbearable.

It's okay, but hardly necessary. There is repetition in every breath we take from birth onward. The tragedy is focusing on the repetition.

@hlpflwthat Too much focus can be bad. We have to balance present awareness of what just is with letting ourselves get lost in thought.
