If someone confesses and apologizes for stalking your social media, would you forgive him/her?

I've been stalking my crush's Facebook page for almost 2 years. She has absolutely no clue. She says she doesn't like me and she thinks that I don't know anything about her (wrong). If I message her on Facebook and explain everything with a long paragraph and put "I'm sorry [her name], just unadd me. I promise this won't happen again," how would she react? How would MOST people react?
She said she doesn’t like you. Leave her alone. You do sound like a creep.

@DrScissorhands I know I sound like a creep. And I'm trying not to. I keep on stalking her Facebook; if I force myself to tell her the truth, I'm hoping that she'll unadd me and this will end once and for all. I won't have anything to do with her anymore.

@skylo Really it's your responsibility to stop and not munipulating her into doing it for you
@skylo She doesn’t know it was you when she added you. To have gone the extra mile and created a fake account to befriend her when she specifically said she doesn’t like you makes you a pathetic creep. Leave the poor girl be!

Don't message her man. She doesn't need to know any of this. You just gotta move past her. She's gonna think you're a weirdo if you message her a big long paragraph out of the blue, especially when you already know she doesn't like you. FaceBook stalking is pretty normal, it's not a big deal; just don't bother her about it.

Okay so lesson here.

Unwanted sexual attention from men is threatening.

As such, she is likely going to feel EXTREMELY violated and upset if you tell her. It sounds like you've gone down a pretty deep obsession rabbit hole. Looking at someone's Facebook isn't super harmful, but the knowledge you've been fixated and going through her stuff over and over is going to threaten her sense of safety.

I do not think a full confession is in anyone's best interests.

My advice - just unfriend her on Facebook. Done. No explanation unless she asks for one. If she asks, then give her a partial truth. "I'm crushing on you and know you're not interested in return. It's healthier for me if I don't have you added." She may still be unhappy to hear that, but it's gonna cause a lot less harm.

@Nanori Stalk me pls 🥺
Nanori · F
@SW-User that'll be $200 a week and I'll make it look very real and authentic so you can brag about this hot girl stalking you to your friends
SW-User
@Nanori for $500 will you take photos of my house and send them to me along with threatening letters? 🥺 I just want your attention so bad 😢
wackidywack · 22-25
just don't do that and really try not to do any of that anymore :/

I'd say walk away from Fakebook and Instagrim. No dramas or prolonged announcements saying you're leaving. Just close your account and disappear. Your true friends will come find you, txt you email you, want to hook up. Fakebook is toxic.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
tl;dr and what everyone is saying

DO NOT TELL HER THAT'S JUST YOUR OBSESSION SPEAKING. Just unfriend her and move on.
wackidywack · 22-25
@CountScrofula or block her if it'll help
SW-User
I would block you as I have no obligation to let you stalk me and I'd never feel guilty about it, either.

@SW-User Should I confess to stalking them? Because if I don't, I feel like I'll keep on doing it. When you don't get caught doing something wrong, you keep on doing it.

That's creepy. It makes you look very insecure . Deal why your stalking 1st cause if you ever get in a relationship you wont be able to handle it .
You'd end up being very controlling and watching and ask questions about everything . Where's she going, who's she with . What took you so long etc .
Leave people be free

Creepy stalker
Don’t do that. Just walk away.

Also, that’s what social media is for. If they put it out there, it’s meant to be seen. Have you ever apologized to anyone for using their site as intended??
skylo · 22-25, M
@nonsensiclesnail Almost everything on her Facebook is set to "friends only." You won't see anything if you go on her page. I created a fake account with a fake name and she unknowingly added me, so I'm on her friends list.

@skylo Violation of her privacy
You know if she has you in her friend list, it's possible to see who is checking out who visits their profile. I did this trick a few years ago but since I don't really have friends it was useless :3
SW-User
She'd react like you're still stalking her, which you are. She basically told you to f-off but you don't listen.
skylo · 22-25, M
@SW-User She doesn't know that I'm stalking her. We go to school together, and to her, I'm just some weird guy in her class. She doesn't know I've been stalking her Facebook.
SW-User
@skylo Oh I see, sorry.🙏 Tbh, I wouldn't tell her. It won't bring you both closer. Just let it all go, the stalking, everything, and focus on your schoolwork.
minxy · 46-50, F
Considering looking at a public website where someone posts stuff publicly isn't the definition of stalking, there would be nothing to forgive.
Just stop doing it. It's wrong and you know it. Let her go. It's that simple.
LookingForTheSummer · 31-35, M
Relax, man! Bang a hotter girl.
deadgerbil · 22-25
So weird. Just leave people alone
