I Am a Type One Diabetic

I wear an insulin pump. I have to wear it clipped onto my bra. And a line sends insulin down to a cannula in my tummy. I have to change the insulin cartridge and the cannula every three days. Like tonight. The cannula goes in with a needle but then I pull the needle out.

@Hepsie not really she's not doing too good

That is a shame. If it’s because of diabetes, tell her to talk to me. @puppy123

@Hepsie no it's because the pump ain't working right

Can’t they help at the hospital? Our hospital has a diabetes centre. With specialist diabetes nurses. And online support from Roche if things go wrong. And Roche is American! I had to speak on the phone to a girl in America when my pump went wrong! She had a lovely accent! @puppy123

@Hepsie yeah they're working on it and I hope they can help her cuz I'm giving all the money I can to help her get better

You are wonderful. You ain’t really got money have you. You are only 13-15. We are so lucky in UK. NHS is free. We don’t pay for doctors or medicines. My pump is free. I order my bits and bobs from Roche and they send the bill to the health board. Hearing you finding money for your cousin makes me realise I live in a very special country. @puppy123
