It depends on the menu. I wouldn't order any sweet tagine dishes if it's your first time with North African foods.
Try kefta tagine, harira(a type of soup) and maybe bastilla.

@FaeLuna I'd just do whatever she says in this case lol

@FaeLuna I hope you'll enjoy it and they offer authentic dishes 👌s. I dislike it when they change the recipes so much we natives can hardly recognize them.
Like I am telling you this and that is good but who knows what's being offered there? I noticed many imitate the presentation but not the preparation.

@Miram I hope so too! Nothing is more disappointing to me than thinking I'm trying something authentic and then realizing it's an "Americanized" version that doesn't compare to the original. I'm hopeful that this place, being a family-run small shop in a local strip mall, and not a franchise in a busy area, is more authentic than not.

@Miram So I looked more into their website - it's owned by a husband and wife chef couple. The husband is American, but the wife is Moroccan. They claim to use her mother's recipes that came from Casablanca and are very proud of that fact, so I'm thinking it's probably going to be good! Hopefully!
