Do you have any obsessive behaviors?

I do sometimes when it comes to baking. I haven’t made pizzelles in over 8 years, but I’ve made it so far 3x in the past week, & I’ll make it again on Friday. Lol

It’s the same with cooking. Because my kids prefer different foods, if I make something they both like, I’ll make it a lot until they get sick of it. 😅
Spica · 31-35, F
I get damn frustrated when someone messes with anything I’ve organized in a certain way and order. Be it at home, in my car, or files at work etc
@Spica if you remove mask you pay the bill. 😋
Spica · 31-35, F
@littlepuppywantanewlife No big deal. I pay the bill all the time
@Spica You are sweet. I was just joking. 🙃
Every time I go to a post here, I have to open the photos even if they're my own and I've seen them a hundred times.
If I don't I'm afraid something bad will happen.

@WonderGirl1 lmao 😂
@marsbar It's like people who have to flip a light switch so many times when they enter a room.
marsbar · F
@WonderGirl1 Yes, I've heard of light switches.
Ynotisay · M
I guess my obsessive behavior is looking up words I've never heard. Like pizzelles. So thanks for feeding my addiction.
marsbar · F
@Ynotisay Lol. Thanks. It’s easy when you have 2 pizzelle makers. They make 2 each. Each batch makes about 5-6 dozen, & 1 hour start to finish.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
@marsbar a dozen eggs for each batch?
marsbar · F
@LunarOrbit 6 eggs
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
I keep buying plates, bowls, silverware, mugs, glasses, sheets, blankets, comforters, clothes, and pillows I do not need.

Maybe I should take up baking? It would give me an excuse to buy all the baking pans, utensils, and machines, and all the ingredients. The problem is I am so lazy.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@marsbar But they are so pretty!

What I need to do is collect the oldest, or the least desirable stuff, and give it to charity.
marsbar · F
@JoyfulSilence Good idea, but no more buying! Lol
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@marsbar

What I need to do is take more vacations.

Hawaii.

Iceland.
I count my steps when I walk. I have to have an even number of steps before I walk through a doorway, switch to a new color of floor tile, start on new section of concrete etc.
@marsbar I did back when I would go for my morning runs. It's been a while since I ran though :s
marsbar · F
@SooperSarah My god. I can’t imagine keeping count when I’m jogging/running. Lol. You’d have to maintain a certain pace I would think, & listening to music while counting may get distracting.
@marsbar it helped me keep pace. I didn't listen to music or anything because I ran on a nature trail and enjoyed the sights and sounds. I found music to be too distracting.
Whenever I bring groceries home and put them away the front labels have to be facing outwards.
marsbar · F
@PrincessVelvet Oh interesting
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I’m constantly vacuuming because of my cats. I can’t stand pet hair.
marsbar · F
@Keepitsimple That’s a big con for me when I think of having pets.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
I don't know if it's an obsessive behavior but I like things to be maintained to perfection.

For instance, I will keep a product or even my vehicles spic and span. Despite them being old, I'll maintain it to keep them in the best working condition. I won't get sleep if there is even a scratch on the car.
marsbar · F
@Beatbox34 Oh wow. Ok
SW-User
I've actually managed to kill my obsessions, don't ask me how.. I got more productive in life I guess..

Though when I make a particularly delicious meal, I'll probably make it once a week until we're all sick of it😂
marsbar · F
@SW-User Like me! Lol
Mardrae · F
I have OCD, so I have gone through many obsessions over the years. Right now I am super obsessed with vitamins and supplements, and going to the gym.
marsbar · F
@Mardrae Those are good things to be obsessed about. Wish I was obsessed about going to the gym too. 😅
Mardrae · F
@marsbar I had to force myself to go the first few times, then it became a habit. I get super anxious when some emergency happens and I can't go...then I set a timer and start running around my house or neighborhood. Lol
marsbar · F
@Mardrae Well that’s great! Exercise is always a plus & a benefit!
yogibooboo · M
Isn't that the way it is. " Oh, you like it"? So i make it every day for months on end. I probably do have obsessive behaviours, but none to publicly mention.
marsbar · F
@yogibooboo My kids know my pattern now. When I ask, “Do you like it?”, my son will say, “Yes, but don’t keep making it, or we’ll get tired of it.” 😄
yogibooboo · M
@marsbar Funny! I know that statement all too well from my kids.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Brazilian tapioca cheese rolls, they are addictive. I have to stop making them for a few months sometimes.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
marsbar · F
@cherokeepatti Oh yum! Looks like something my kids would like. They like cheese & anything carby.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@marsbar they are so good, you can use any kind of grated cheese in them but I usually use grated mozzarella.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Love pizelles and recently found out making anise extract is very easy and inexpensive.
marsbar · F
@curiosi I know you can put anise extract in pizzelles, but I just put vanilla. I’ve never been one to like the anise flavor, but if you enjoy it, it’s good you know how to make it. :)
curiosi · 61-69, F
@marsbar My grand mother made cookies with anise some call them Italian Christmas cookies or Italian wedding cookies. She made them for all occasions.
marsbar · F
@curiosi I bet it brings back fond memories.
sassypants · 36-40, F
For me it is cleaning. I can't stand clutter and dust. I'm constantly looking for things to do and that makes it hard to relax.
marsbar · F
@sassypants Oh, you’re like my friend.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
What's a pizzeles? My towels are always nicely folded after I use them.
marsbar · F
@Eddiesolds Italian thin cookies, similar to waffle cones.

Ohhh you fold your towels after use? But don’t you let them hang to dry?
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@marsbar yes I do. That's what i meant. Sorry. I've had those before. I never knew what they were called.
MelancholicSoul · 22-25, M
I can also get obsessed with cooking 😆 especially if I’m on a diet and meal prepping
marsbar · F
@MelancholicSoul That’s the best time to get obsessed! 👍🏼
I'm OCD with spelling. I have to correct every error. It drives me crazy.
marsbar · F
@WonderGirl1 Ohhh that’s good if you’re a teacher then.
Sweetpoison · 36-40, F
Yeah… before i leave home i have to check multiple times that i turned off my hair straightener 😁
Rosiechick13 · 26-30, F
I go back through my house twice to check that everything fire hazard is shut off
Masturbating... It's a practical hobby I can take with me everywhere I go...

That's like all I have.
Bang5luts · M
I rinse glasses three times before I'll drink out of them
Bang5luts · M
@SW-User lol.
Bang5luts · M
@marsbar I can show you a few new things
Bang5luts · M
@SW-User it's my nana's fault. She'd always say, "Go get ya a glass out of the cupboard and rinch it out." She was my dad's best friend mother. They were from Oklahoma. One of the toughest and sweetest women I've ever met in my life ❤❤
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
Chatting to women 😂
marsbar · F
@Justenjoyit I would agree. I guess I have one too, except with men. 😅
tenente · 100+, M
