Why do some people feel the need to shove their views down someone's throat?

I have been a vegetarian since the early 70's and I have NEVER done that...it chaps my ass when other vegetarians do that...I am always paying for their stupid behavior. All I have to do is SAY I am vegetarian and most people immediately become defensive...as if I DID say all that to them. It's like I'm for gun control and they are NRA members...it's crazy. People are never going to stop eating meat...I would be happy if people ate animals with a conscience, learn the process,there are more humane ways to get that burger.

Trust me I grown up with cows and pig's and chickens Turkey's. I never really felt bad about eating them

Vegans are annoying but none of them have done that to me. Maybe they are just an asshole?

This is the difference between a debate and an argument. A debate will give you information in an attempt to change your mind, an argument is just some asshole shoving their opinions down your throat

I encounter that more online than I do in real life. My mother’s been a vegetarian for about 30 years now, and recently she’s moved into veganism. I bought her a cookbook that I found when I was curious about it, but she doesn’t pressure Pop or the rest of the family.

I've never pressured but heated debates do happen and if that's the case then yeah I'll be pushy.
