Give them the change if I have any. I usually carry small gift cards for different fast food restaurants though. I usually give them a gift card so they can eat.

usually most places let you pay it forward so tell them where they can get coffee or a meal

I try to take them to closest fast food place to make sure they eat and not spend the $ for other stuff.

I don't ever give spare change. With the homeless we have here, I know they will just go spend it on alcohol. Instead, I will purchase groceries for them. They've gotten to the point now to know to not ask, and that I'll get them something when I'm shopping.

We donate food , fresh grown and meat . The church keeps tabs on whose needing help and distributes it
