Which is worse, (burning or drowing ) to death?

SAandME · 56-60, M
Well on the whole both would be death by asphyxiation but unless you are talking drowning in acid then i would pick the drowning option. Burning to death could mean some one pouring petrol on you and setting you on fire which would be a very painful death.

Drowning. You won't burn to death. The thick smoke will kill you first

@iamnikki i disagree... 😣

Supposedly drowning is relatively peaceful. I can't imagine burning to death would be.

@iamnikki An account by someone who drown and was revived. They said the initial terror was pretty bad, but once you let go and breath in that first lungful of water the terror subsides and it's a fairly peaceful fade to black.

@Zaphod42 wow. Wonder how that felt though. Breathing in water like that. How long was he under?
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@iamnikki It's been years since I read the account, but as I recall it was a long time...like technically dead for 3 or 4 minutes.

burning would clearly be much much worse, when you breath the water in you go unconscious, when you breath the fire in, you just burn on the inside as well..

I am scared of fire and can't swim I think burning more painful i think that bit worser but drowning still scary

Neither is a good choice but I had rather drown than burn.
