I Am Welsh

1976 my parents and I visited the Elan Valley during the long drought the water levels were low at the time and we could see the tops of the houses that were lost to the creation of the reservoirs in 1893 it was sad people lost their homes and way of life and their community no doubt many of them never fully got over having to leave the Elan Valley if this drought continues I will make a return journey with my digital camera and tripod and capture those images I saw forty years ago I never forgot what I saw that memory has remained with me all my life.
