I Don't Think a College Degree Always Indicates Intelligence

I once knew a man that could neither read or write but he was a specialist in building the bridges you cross today.

Plus he is a millionaire many times over.

Building the bridges we cross today requires several college degrees. There is no place I know that teaches that level of engineering in high school.
@sarabee1995 as far as i know not back then or maybe he was grandfathered in after being an apprentice?

@Mondayschild Idk, never heard of that but i wasn't around then so idk.

But to your original point, college degrees may not by themselves indicate intelligence, but there are certain fields that absolutely require advanced degrees that absolutely do require certain amounts of intelligence to obtain. Building bridges today is one of those fields.
@sarabee1995 yes I understand that.

While his bridge-building credentials seem a bit suspect, you're still correct that a lack of college degree does not mean a person is not intelligent. College may make someone more educated, but it cannot give someone intelligence.

@Areid1824a Exactly
My father was an elementary drop out and I am not half the man he is with my master's degree. Shame on me...😞
@jjoe01 people can build great lived without degrees

@jjoe01 Not necessarily shame on you, but certainly a testament to the quality of man your father is.
@Areid1824a I agree with this. 👆🏻

Plus always be proud of your accomplishments because you have many🙂

ok, what's this got to do with degrees?
@sighmeupforthat he had NO degrees.

I agree.. many of the millionaires I know are self made and non-degreed.

It's true. College seem to educate all the common sense out of people.
