I Hate How Some Doctors Treat Patients

When you are old, here are the most common answers doctors give you about your medical complaints and conditions, in this order:

"Umhm..."

"You'll just have to get used to it."

"Excuse me. I have another appointment."

@MarmeeMarch Actually, to be fair about it, I finally got a good competent doctor who knows how to treat my condition...after about 6 years, 8 doctors and 3 hospitalizations for my painful energy draining condition (chronic UTIs). I admit he did end my last visit with line #3, but he is treating my condition and for the first time in years, recovery, full of partial, seems like a real possibility.

@MarmeeMarch There are some new antibiotics that address the problem; the one I am trying is methenamine hippurate. It only becomes active when the bladder biofilms release bacteria and an infection starts. I am also taking 1000 mg. of d-mannose daily and nightly to prevent e.coli bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall. There are a lot of new treatments for UTIs and most doctors know nothing about them.
