I Am Worried About My Health

This post is not about me...it's about Covid19. Good news. I heard a highly respected doctor from the CDC last night explain that when it is hot and humid, the virus will not thrive.

The kind of heat we have in summer doesn't kill the virus so much as impede it. The virus can't reproduce very well if it is not cold.

Humidity adds another helpful remedy, because in humid weather, the virus can't travel easily.

The same doctor from the CDC states that it is false to say that covid19 is not improving in countries that are already experiencing hot and humid weather.

SO...even though I hate it when it's too hot and sticky...bring it on!

The virus will not go away, but the summer weather will slow it down. We will have a much needed breathing spell, and in no time, treatments will be available.

I am in no way sticking my head in the sand & thinking this virus is all a hoax. While it IS gonna be bad, it’s not going to be the rampaging contagion that some are making it out to be. This virus isn’t going to be as bad as the flu, which kills THOUSANDS EVERY YEAR. (Wonder why there’s NO pandemic, school closings, and shutdowns for that). Anyone care to guess about the worst pandemic in this country’s history? “Spanish flu” of 1918 killed over half a MILLION in the US alone (about 5 MILLION globally). It killed more people in ONE year than AIDS has killed in FORTY. It killed more than the Bubonic Plague. Yet, we survived. As of a couple days ago, the global fatalities were 4,600 from this virus. I’m more afraid of the HUGE ECONOMIC IMPACT that the panic mentality is causing.
