I Am Worried About My Health

I hate thinking about my health.

It's always something. I went to the doctor today because I needed more medication (anti anxiety) but also because I have this lump on my boob. It's been a month and one lump has become two. The doctor said that it's likely the beginning of a cancerous tumor and if it's still there in six weeks we'll remove it. It just puts a rain cloud over my day, I don't want to think about it.

"If it's still there in six weeks" What the hell is that supposed to mean?? Where is it going to go? Is it in the breast tissue itself or more on the surface/just under the skin? Do you have access to a specialist or a second opinion? Is this doctor male by any chance? Sounds like something a male doctor would say...

@GerOttman She's a woman but I don't get a very warm feeling from her. It's just under the surface so I think she thinks there's a possibility it might be something else or it might be melanoma

i am sorry to hear this! you are getting a second opinion and testing? nothing can be diagnosed without biopsy etc.

@Texasgurl It's near the surface so I think they'll just remove it. I'm not too concerned about a second opinion for some reason.

my mom survived breast cancer. i lost 2 other family members to other kinds. i don’t hate many things, however cancer is at the top of my list.
